The 57th CALAS / ACSAL Symposium will take place in Quebec City, from May 5 to 8, 2018
We are Canadians. We live in the 2nd largest country in the world, in which more than 35 million men and women live today. If the great Canadian territory was inhabited by Amerindians for millennia, it is in Quebec City that Canada as we know it, began its adventure, more than 410 years ago. Founded in 1608 by Samuel de Champlain, the city of Quebec was colonized by Europeans, then invaded and defeated by the English in 1759. It is thanks to this rich past that our country has a great cultural diversity and such a beautiful opening of the ‘mind’.
We have learned to live together and to be enriched by the differences of our peoples in order to be a country where the respect of all, the freedom of expression and the education of the citizens are at the heart of our lives.
Canadian scientific research shines at the international level and basic research is obviously the basis of the latter. Animal health technicians in the laboratory are at the heart of a respectful environment for animals and each year more creative in their way of increasing the quality of care provided and the comfort given to our laboratory animals.
The Quebec chapter is pleased to host the 57th CALAS / ASCAL Congress, from May 5 to 8, 2018, under the theme « Learning to live together »!
