Since its founding ITR Canada continually strived to improve our animal care program.

We have maintained continuous accreditation by the Canadian Council on Animal Care and the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care for the last 16 years. ITR Canada's animal care program is designed to ensure that all the studies we conduct on behalf of clients are appropriately reviewed and meet the criteria established by the animal care regulators, our own strict ethical guidelines and the three Rs (reduction, refinement and replacement).

Our veterinary care staff is highly trained and certified in laboratory animal medicine. Both the animal care and scientific staff have the knowledge required to ensure we meet the highest standards of animal care. Clients and animal care regulators alike have praised ITR Canada for our animal environmental enrichment program and ethical standards.
